The Festival of Bacon and Mulled Rakia is held each year in the town of Apriltsi, located in the Balkan Mountains. This festival is one of the most colourful and delicious Bulgarian festivals bringing together thousands of people from all over the country. Mulled rakia is very popular in the winter season and most people associate it with the Christmas and New Year’s holidays. It has a mild taste and a warming effect
